Single storey 4m deep garden room extension to a previously extended dwelling. The client required extra sitting space overlooking the garden without relocating the existing kitchen and dining areas.

Daylight to the deep floor plan has been maximised, using large format sliding doors and rooflights as well as obscure glazed ‘slot windows’.

Careful consideration of solar gain using wide overhanging eaves and solar control glass as well as solid floors,  and double plaster boarding to increase the thermal mass.
